My preferred medium is gouache, and I paint the delightful, the desirable, the elegant and the bewitching. Inspired by fashion, history, mythology, the esoteric and the decorative arts, I dip into my box of paints to conjure colourful narratives celebrating the beauty and mystique of the feminine psyche.

I am currently working on a new collection entitled ‘Distilled Life‘ a series of paintings which subtly allude to secret liaisons, decadence and other dangerously desirable fashions encoded in the interiors of early to mid 20th century Parisian boudoirs, cafes and salons. Not forgetting the elegant, female protagonists.

The ‘tarot magicae’ : each of the seventy-eight symbolic paintings reflecting deep, dark or delicious qualities of the soul, to entice, enlighten, and mirror one’s own personal journey.

‘Les Elegantes’ collection is an expression of the graceful insouciance and bewitching elegance of Parisian cafe culture in the first half of the twentieth century, reviving our sense of joie de vivre and vivacity .

BIOGRAPHY

Sarah studied for a B.Ed in Art at Middlesex Polytechnic, and works primarily in gouache and acrylic. Over the past ten years, she has sold her artwork from her ex-partner’s boutique in the south of France. She has recently returned to the UK and is living near Cambridge.

She has been a professional astrologer and author, as well as a contributor to media such as the London Evening Standard and BBC Radio 2.

Sarah’s most recent self-illustrated title, The Book of Lunar Oracles, was published June 2025. She has also written international best-selling non-fiction books such as The Tarot Bible, The Little Book of Magic Series, (of which she has illustrated three of the five books), and Secrets of the Universe in 100 Symbols.
